About the Role

You will be providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of needs, including mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autism, neurodiversity and complex behaviours.

The Role
As a Specialist Support Worker, you will provide practical, emotional and person-centred support both within the home and in the wider community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred support tailored to individual needs and preferences.
- Supporting individuals with daily living tasks, including cooking, budgeting and household activities.
- Providing personal care and support with healthcare needs where required.
- Encouraging independence and helping individuals develop and maintain life skills.
- Supporting individuals to access their local community and attend appointments, activities and social opportunities.
- Supporting individuals to take part in meaningful activities such as walks, drives, swimming, music, arts and crafts and days out.
- Providing positive reassurance and support when individuals may be experiencing challenging or distressed behaviour.
- Building positive, professional and trusting relationships with the individuals you support.
- Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and promoting dignity, choice and independence at all times.
- Working as part of a wider support team to ensure consistent and high-quality care.

Previous experience within health and social care, mental health, learning disabilities, autism or supported living would be beneficial. However, candidates with transferable experience and the right attitude will also be considered.
Training & Development
Our client is committed to developing their staff and provides comprehensive training, including:

Shifts & Benefits
- £13.00 per hour
