About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality emotional and practical support to young adults aged 16–18.

  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviors effectively and compassionately.

  • Supporting individuals with mental health challenges, encouraging positive coping mechanisms.

  • Assisting with life-skills development, budgeting, education, and daily routines.

  • Maintaining detailed shift logs and support plans.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with adolescents (16–18) or vulnerable young people.

  • Experience handling challenging behavior and a solid understanding of youth mental health.

  • Strong communication, de-escalation, and active listening skills.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care / Children & Young People (desirable, but relevant experience is key).
