Location: Burnley Job Type: Full Time Salary: £34,300 per annum + £1,500 annual bonus
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Coaching & Development Trainer to join a successful and growing business based in Burnley.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the induction, training and ongoing development of a busy sales team. Working closely with management, you'll play a key role in improving employee performance, enhancing product knowledge and supporting the achievement of business targets through engaging training and one-to-one coaching.
This role would suit someone with a background in sales training, coaching or learning & development who enjoys helping people reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging inductions for all new sales employees.
- Provide structured post-induction training and ongoing development.
- Deliver regular refresher training sessions.
- Conduct one-to-one coaching sessions to improve sales performance.
- Record coaching outcomes and monitor individual progress.
- Identify training needs and recommend improvements to training programmes.
- Develop and maintain excellent product and industry knowledge.
- Deliver training on new products, services and business initiatives.
- Work closely with Sales Managers to review employee progress and set development objectives.
- Promote high standards of attendance, professionalism and performance.
- Attend quarterly Learning & Development review meetings.
- Travel occasionally to support training requirements at other business locations where required.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an office-based environment, ideally within B2B sales or telesales.
- Experience delivering training, coaching or mentoring.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident, professional and motivating approach.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and perform well under pressure.
- A proactive, target-driven mindset with a genuine passion for developing others.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Supervisory or team leadership experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
