About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Dispersed Housing Officer to provide temporary cover for a long-term sickness absence within a homelessness and supported housing service in Bury.
Working as part of a wider homelessness and prevention service, you will be responsible for delivering effective housing management and resident engagement across dispersed temporary accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of residents across dispersed accommodation
- Carrying out housing management duties and regular resident visits
- Supporting residents to maintain their accommodation and tenancy
- Responding to housing-related issues and resolving problems effectively
- Maintaining accurate records and completing regular 1:1 sessions with residents
- Working closely with internal teams and external agencies
- Identifying and responding appropriately to safeguarding and support needs
- Building positive, professional relationships with residents
About You:
- Previous experience within housing, supported housing, homelessness or a similar environment is highly desirable
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage a caseload and work independently
- Organised with strong time-management and record-keeping skills
- Confident dealing with challenging situations and finding practical solutions
- Experience working with vulnerable adults would be advantageous
