Cover Supervisor

Job Type: Temporary / Flexible Supply

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

• Delivering pre-planned lesson materials and ensuring students remain on task.

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

• Supporting students with their learning and answering general queries.

• Maintaining a safe, positive and productive learning environment.

• Completing any relevant feedback for teaching staff at the end of lessons.

• Adapting to different school environments, subjects and year groups.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within a school or educational setting.

• Experience supervising or managing groups of students.

• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A flexible and reliable approach to work.

• The ability to build positive relationships with students and school staff.
