About the Role

Office Administrator

Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.00am–4.00pm Salary: £24,000–£26,000 depending on experience

Rotherwood Recruitment is recruiting for an Office Administrator on behalf of an established engineering business in Keighley.

This is a busy, varied and hands-on role, supporting the Operations team and Managers with the day-to-day coordination of engineers working across the UK.

You’ll need to be comfortable juggling tasks and switching priorities at short notice. You might be updating training records one moment, then arranging urgent site access or accommodation the next. Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and a flexible approach are essential.

Key responsibilities

  • General administrative duties
  • Maintaining accurate personnel and training records.
  • Tracking training requirements and renewal dates using Excel and internal systems.
  • Booking training courses and coordinating employee arrangements.
  • Updating supplier and client portals.
  • Arranging site passes, permits and access for engineers.
  • Booking travel and accommodation for employees working away.
  • Responding to urgent requests and changes in operational requirements.
  • Providing general administrative support to Managers and the wider Operations team.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in an office or administrative role.
  • Good Excel skills and confidence using Outlook and Word.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to pause one task, respond to an urgent request and return to outstanding work without losing track.
  • A calm, practical approach to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Clear and friendly communication skills, both over the phone and in writing.
  • Confidence working independently and using your initiative.
  • A professional and discreet approach to confidential information.
